Abram Zimmerman opened the New Holland Machine Company in the Pennsylvania town of that name in 1895, and the firm made its name with the self-tying hay baler introduced in the late 1930s, which ended the era of hand-tied hay. The company survived the Depression on forage tools that saved farmers real labour, and that single machine shaped its future.

Today New Holland is a full-line manufacturer: tractors from compact utility to high-horsepower four-wheel-drive, Twin Rotor combines, forage harvesters, balers, and loaders. After its farm equipment line changed hands among major tractor makers in the 1980s, the brand merged with Case in 1999 to form CNH Global, now CNH Industrial, serving farmers on every continent.

New Holland service manuals cover diesel engine overhaul and fuel systems, electronic fault code diagnosis, hydraulic schematics and pressure testing, powershift and continuously variable transmissions, four-wheel-drive front axles, and combine settings for headers and threshing systems. Torque tables and lubrication schedules support routine upkeep across the range.

Mixed-fleet farms, contractors, dealer workshops, and owners of older blue tractors still doing daily work all benefit from factory data. Baler and mower-conditioner owners especially value the setup and knotter adjustments that only factory books explain clearly, and as machines age past dealer support, an accurate manual becomes the difference between a quick fix and an expensive guess.
